In addition to their highly successful range of "standard" equipment, Lingwood Food Services Ltd provide the facility to custom design and build equipment for all sectors of the prepared food industry.

In addition to offering machinery design and supply solutions, Lingwood also have the range of experience required to offer full project management co-ordination for complete new line integration and individual machines.

Lingwood have invested heavily in the past in both computer aided design systems and their equipment demonstration facilities. This investment is definitely paying dividends for both Lingwood and its customers.

Often visitors to this facility arrive with a specific product or process in mind and leave with the "spark" of an idea for a new product or method of tackling a production or handling problem. Customers welcome the opportunity of drawing on the wide ranging experience at Lingwood to help structure a solution to their particular process problem, or to lay their factory plans onto Lingwood's CAD system enabling them to see the design there and then.

A recent example of this co-operation at work led to Lingwood securing a project worth in excess of £1,000,000.

A customer realised that their current processing methods put them at a competitive disadvantage and changes had to be made. Lingwood were asked to specify, build and install processing lines to handle a range of fresh prepared products. The brief was simple and yet exacting. Throughput and line efficiency needed to increase by the removal of manual handling and labour. At the same time product quality had to be maintained, and improved where possible, whilst flexibility to adapt to future product and customer requirements, could not be compromised.

The designs were agreed and the equipment manufactured, installed and commissioned on time and on budget. The factory is now fully operational and far more efficient than it has ever been in the past.
